WRTP | BIG STEP under the leadership of Lindsay Blumer launched this coalition to bring the workforce development sector to the table as a resource while policy makers develop plans  to implement Medicaid work (and work reporting) requirements. For five  decades WRTP BIG STEP has created pathways to economic mobility protecting access to healthcare for those who need it most.

 Under the Apprenticeship Pathway Coalition Initiative, combined with its history dating back 50 years, WRTP | BIG STEP is working to broaden the scale of apprenticeship readiness and training for apprenticeable career opportunities statewide.


This work involves leveraging and developing collaborative partnerships and programming with statewide organizations, agencies, industry stakeholders, employers, unions, and community organizations to build a functional and comprehensive apprenticeship pathway ecosystem to help job seekers transition beyond Medicaid into carriers with incredible benefits.
